We had a wonderful weekend. We love staying here because we can combine work and play. They have available wireless internet and satellite TV in every room. All TV's are flat screen in the rooms with a huge plasma screen in the great room. The great room is very comfortable for both temperature and sitting or watching movies. And since they have a huge plasma screen tv with surround sound, watching a movie makes you feel you are at the movies. The decks provide a nice area to sit outside and discuss things with others or just read a book. The view of the Lake Logan Martin(?) is beautiful, which can be easily seen from the great room, as well. There is so much peace that you couldn't help but be relaxed. The bedrooms have their own bathrooms, so you don't have to share with others. The beds are huge and very very comfortable. We all were rested from the sleep we were able to get. The breakfast is fit for a king and/or queen. We felt like Royalty and family all at the same time. There is an optional boat ride for those who want to see the area. A beach area for those who want to get some sun and water fun, as well. There's a hot tub available for use and its view is even big because it also overlooks the lake. There were even homemade cookies for us to have whenever we wanted. There is so much detail to give about why we recommend this place as a getaway or business trip we could go on forever. great hosts. We will definitely be returning.

What a fabulous getaway!! It was so close, yet seemed so faraway and relaxing. Richard and Ellen couldn't have made our first B&B experience any better. Nothing can beat an evening sitting by the fire pit or in the hot tub, watching a harvest moon! You never want to get out of the really comfortable bed, but when you do breakfast is way too good to describe.

I made reservations here for my daughter and her husband on their wedding night. The owners were incredibly friendly and allowed me to drop in the night prior and place a large basket of snacks and a flower arrangement in the room they would occupy the next night. They also took the time to show us their beautiful home and the decor of the guest rooms. I noticed everything was spotless and very tastefully decorated! My daughter and her husband said they really enjoyed staying here and that the breakfast was out of this world! This is a fantastic place!!!

We had a great time! We went for our honeymoon, just for the night, but Richard and Ellen made us feel very much at home. It was the perfect mix of privacy and comfort. Great Breakfast as well. Thanks so much, we will definately be back soon.

This was our first B&B experience, and it was a truly fantastic weekend! The house is beautiful, the rooms are inviting, the breakfast is delicious, and the atmosphere is one of peace and relaxation. Whether you have plans in the city nearby or just need some time to get away, Richard and Ellen make you feel like you're visiting with dear friends! We thoroughly enjoyed meeting the other guests and spending time with each other with no other agenda. Thanks, Richard and Ellen, for a truly wonderful weekend. Even though we made the reservations, we know who really had it all planned out! Hope to see you again soon!

A truly wonderful experience!! Beautiful home, lovely grounds, great dinner with the locals at Finchers, relaxing dip in the hot tub, guitar sing-a-long around the fire, restful night sleep on a bed of clouds, a superb veggie omelette prepared by Chef Bruce, a stroll to the Lake with a cup of coffee and a departure sprinkled with gentle raindrops. Who could ask for more?? And yet there was!! A Host and Hostess, who feel Blessed with what they have and generously allow it to be yours for the length of your stay, guests, some of whom were so finely tuned to your interests, you have to believe that HE chose them specifically!! and a "natural" closeness to God, like no other. We came home better people...NO DOUBT!!

Our experience was simply wonderful. Our room was cozy, our bed slept well. The house is warming, the hot tub made me feel like a millon dollars, the porch is beautiful, the golf cart was fun but most of all, your hearts are very compassionate, welcoming and friendly. We felt like we've known you a lifetime. We appreciate your christian spirit and witness. God bless always, we will visit soon. Oh yea, thanks for the breakfast and fruit. It was delicious!

If you want to be spoiled, this is the place for you! The bed is the most comfortable I have ever slept on and the breakfast is delicious and plentiful. Richard and Ellen strive to please and they do! Thank you for an enjoyable relaxing visit!

Pete and I are always looking for great places to stay. This is by far the best we have stayed at yet and we will most certainly be back. Rich and Ellen were wonderful and so much fun! We had a fantastic relaxing weekend. We would recommend this place to anyone if you are looking for a relaxing romantic getaway.

River Rest Bed and Breakfast is the nicest B & B we have ever stayed in, and the inn keepers were determined to make our stay enjoyable. We loved getting into the hot tub after the sun went down!
