River Rest Bed and Breakfast is only an hour from Birmingham, and less than two hours from Montgomery and Huntsville.
If you are visiting the lakeside retreat from Atlanta, you can leave work at 5 p.m. and be watching the sun go down over
the lake by 6:30 p.m. (Remember, you gain an hour traveling from the Eastern Time Zone to the Central Time Zone so you have
60 more minutes to unwind and enjoy the countryside.)
All of the common areas in the country inn are available for guests' use and the three living rooms, one with a 20-foot span of glass, have marvelous views of the water. They make a wonderful place to watch the high-definition televisions or to grab just one more nap.
